What is CTA?

CTA is a licensed private provider funded in part by the Utah Department of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD) under the State of Utah Department of Human Services.

  • Not-for-profit organization that provides services to adults and children with autism and related disorders in homes and work sites in Salt Lake City and Davis County
  • Established in 1985 with an excellent reputation for supporting people with autism and developmental disabilities

    Our goal is to support people in gaining personal independence and developing skills which will enable them to become successful in all aspects of life

We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of services available that will enable individuals to fully participate in all aspects of community life.

What is Autism?

Autism is a developmental disability usually occurring before the age of three. It occurs five times more frequently in boys than girls. Autism is the third most common developmental disability and is more common than Down syndrome. Two thirds of people with autism have some degree of mental retardation. 

Areas that can be affected are communication, play, social interactions, and sensory impairment. People with autism have varying degrees of impairment and display a variety of characteristics.
