After-School / Family Support Program
Families are often disappointed by traditional family support programs. When you are fortunate enough to have a staff that shows up when scheduled, they rarely have much experience or supervision, and they seldom spend their time in engaging activities or developing meaningful skills. CTA has an alternative.
CTA’s Autism Support Alternatives Program (ASAP) offers site-based supports to children with autism or other disabilities that are flexible and reliable. Services are delivered Monday through Saturday based upon need and available funding. Services are delivered at small sites with staff ratios that are based upon the need of each child attending the program.
CTA’s Solution:
- CTA always has a supervisor on shift who is experienced in supporting children with autism and other disabilities.
- Site based services offer greater reliability to families and children. We never cancel a shift – you can count on us!
- Staff are experienced and well trained.
- Children have opportunities throughout the week to participate in community activities, individually and in small groups.
- CTA develops and implements meaningful support strategies for each child that develop skills, improve behavior, and increase social interaction.
- Highly involved behavior analysts are regularly on-site working directly with children and staff, and consult with the family as desired.
- ASAP is fun! Activities are well-planned, meaningful, and engaging—ensuring that kids have fun as they gain skills. (After all, they’ve been in school all day!)
- Many families choose to have CTA provide a summer program for their child as an extension of ASAP.
Where and When:
- Current ASAP programs in West Jordan, Clearfield, and Cedar City. Other sites will be opened in the near future.
- CTA operates the program Monday – Saturday.
- CTA is open on most Holidays.
